Eligibility
  • Hold permanent status in an eligible SEIU Local 1000 represented classification
  • Work for a participating state department and qualify for the targeted Training and Development assignment
  • Meet the location and cohort requirements published in the next application notice
Compensation
Selected employees enter a paid state Training and Development assignment; current cohort pay details are not posted.
Duration
Up to two years of on-the-job training and related cybersecurity instruction through American River College.
Credential
College instruction and experience intended to meet minimum qualifications for an IT Specialist I classification; promotion still requires a separate competitive application.
